Nifty! Insane! Creepy! You did a good job at capturing the feel of Halloween with this awesome heavy metal remake. Seriously, your guitar work is astounding! Keep up the awesome work, and I hope to hear more!

Honestly, this isn't very good. I'll tell you why, too. First of all, I can recognize some of the samples you've used, and there isn't much variation to this song. I'm alright with songs that have little variation, but this one doesn't have enough to make up for the lack of good sound. The drums are dry, don't really match, and there is very little bass to help back up what you've got here. The best part, in my opinion, is the ending. Not because it ends, but because I really like the faint rim shot and the deep cave crawling noise. So, even though this song isn't very listenable, you sure can improve, and I hope you will! Good luck!

Take care,
Ka'eo

...i didnt use any pre-recorded samples. did i say that in the description? why, i think i said something to the effect of me recording/sequencing etc everything myself.

go ahead and bash me for other shit, but give me credit where its due.

Not very appealing to me, but I was once in your shoes. I've had musical compositions I created which sounded like this, and I'll tell you how it sounds. It sounds dry, cheap, and with little power. It sounds very stockish, and so I recommend you 'stock' up on better samples, or that you start creating some better sounding synths. You're heading in a good direction, though, I'll tell you that! Keep up the good work!

I enjoy your helping criticism, unlike those who tend to comment "this sucks" and say it was criticizing. Thank you for the feedback though

Ah, a sweet tune. I'll always remember this melody from Final Fantasy VII. Such a great tune, and this is really easy to listen to. You did a good job on it! It really is a nostalgic song. Though, the only thing this song probably lacks is a little more interesting. Maybe some variation with motifs, or adding a heavier part in the song. That's just my two cents anyways. Thanks for your contribution, and keep up the great work!

Thanks for the kind and helpful review. And yes I will keep up the good work for all of the music fans out there. I'll try putting a heaver thin in the beggening and up date it though.
Thanks again,

This is a cool song! The worst part of this, I'd have to say, is the trumpet, actually. It's just really high-pitched and annoying to me. The rest of the loop sounds pretty sinister and cool! I like that.

P.S. I'm going to see if I can do something with this. I'd love to make a longer mix of it. =]

gamerworld14 responds:

thanks for your comment. I appreciate it, I know the trumpet might get a little annoying, so should i tune the volume down on it or what? Pm me please so I can fix it to what you want...thanks

Eh, not too appealing to me, and apparently not very appealing to the other listeners who gave you low scores as well. I like the song Take Me On, but this didn't do it any justice. The melody is in there, but it isn't going down well. Also, the drums are a bit dry and uninteresting. Anyhow, just keep at the music! You have some potential!

P.S. I did like the layout for the beat you had set up there. =]

classicblue responds:

thanks I really didn't mean to offend anyone and I feal stupid now cause something told me not to post it but I did this remix I made the beat I found the pieces, cut them and mixed them together myself so that one guy is a liar!

I kind of like this, but maybe the drums you used were too clean. You should add a little more grittiness to the song! Still, you did good work here. I really like the ambiance, and the low ethnic toms that you used. This sounds engaging, and reminds me a little bit of a foreign movie I've seen. Just a bit. Keep it up! =]

Alright, this is pretty bad-ass. The name is a little disturbing, and reminds me of Aphex Twin's humor, but so does the music. The music is pretty neat. I like the interesting radio noises you have in the background there. Also, the beat is very driving and catchy. You did a good job with this! Keep up the great work!

Quite pleasing to my ears, and very aural! Very atmospheric! I could just imagine the RPG in my head, right now. This piece is simply majestic, inspiring, and pretty close to being full. It's more of an orchestral ballad, but that captures the 'sea of tranquility' you speak of. This is great! Not quite a perfect loop, but it works. Please, keep up the awesome work! I hope your friend is pleased! =]

Grimzag responds:

I know the loop is bad. This is intended to be a midi file which doesn't trail off at the end, but newgrounds requires I submit mp3s and my program always adds a little extra to the end of my pieces. i suppose in future I could cut them.

You're right, it is enjoyable. It is semi-enjoyable. The beginning doesn't pick up much, and the song is kind of slow, but there are some good elements in there like the drumloops you used. I don't give many props for premade drumloops, but I will give you some props for mentioning you did, and also for the other sounds which 'make it sound cool'. Heheh. Go for an original approach, and shoot for the top sound! You've got potential!
