This isn't whack or anything, and I kind of like how it sounds, but here are it's two main problems. First of all, I can tell you used two of Fruity Loop's built-in drum loops, and you didn't even slice them to make your own beat. Second of all, this doesn't loop all that well with the pad sound dying out so quickly then coming back up to speed at the beginning of the song. Its pleasing to the ears, but not very original. Keep working though, you're getting there!

SonicJ responds:

I knew that using fl's built in drum loops would be a cause of alarm, but I just needed something to base the song on. Second, I have no idea how to slice or dice anything in fl studio. Just some really basic stuff. Really basic. I am to please. Thanks for the review!

I'll give you plus one because of that riff and drum solo after the first minute of the song. When that pulsing bass came in, and the drums came in, that was my favorite part of the song. But as for the other experimental and synthetic noises, I don't think they sounded that great. The name of the song doesn't quite match the song for me either. Anyways, keep it up man.

Not bad, my friend. But, there is a lot of inconsistency going on within the song. It sounds like you tried to layout your song in a program like Audacity and didn't quite pair it all up. There are time gaps that need to be filled in order to make the song smoother to listen to. I'm not sure if that was what you wanted in your song, but its very distracting, like that synth that enters around 2:08. Keep it up though, you're getting there!

777overload responds:

Well thanks.
I mean i don't think i am that bad at it but it's not like i do it to be pro. Just for fun i guess.
Ill try to put your advise in the songs

I agree with THEmasterphil. Your work has been bashed by an immense amount of haters, I'm guessing. You do quite well in your submissions. Keep it up!

You seriously must have used Reason before though. You've just upgraded, is what you mean? If not, you did extremely well for your first time. I use Reason 4 as well, but I don't think my techno comes out nearly as good, which probably means I don't know how to use it as well as you do. Anyways, enough about my issue, your song is exceedingly better than most techno on here. I can really tell you put a lot of work into it. Keep up the excellent work man!

dezt responds:

Thanks man, i've used Reason before, but when i did this song, i wasn't experienced yet.

I wan't to keep my work, but i'm without time to do that, so, when i get in a vacation, you will see more stuff. :D

Cya man, thanks for the support!!!

Not bad, my friend! Its funny, because it almost sounds exactly like an 80s horror movie film song. It sounds very sinister, but with that synth arpeggio constantly attacking my ears, it makes it easy to listen to on an even grander scale level. The song progressed real nicely at about 1:49. I love how Labyrinth-like it sounds. It just reminds me of some sort of scene where a creature is chasing people around in a carnival. You know? Anyways, keep up the good work, pal! You did good!

Wow. Someone who actually knows the name of Heart and Soul. Props! Everyone just calls it the song from the movie Big. Ha ha ha. Anyways, the song is alright, but its kind of original I suppose. Take care.

MadChris responds:

yeah i cant really think of anyone else who knows the name of that song..dunno why cause the majority of them can play it. haha. true its an original song but i decided to put a softer play on it other than the piano and make it kind of relaxing.

For an industrial song, you did great. You didn't get a fair rating, I presume, because not many first-raters or first-listeners rate experimental or industrial songs like this high. Keep it up though, and make sure your music gets into the right hands. Have a good day!

On a good note, it sounded good in the beginning. But later, when the lower notes on the piano came in, it sounded crackly. You should think about increasing the buffer length in your audio settings. Then it wouldn't sound so dissonant. The progression of this song is good, but I suggest buying a MIDI keyboard to make thing sound much more natural. It sounds robotic, and computer-like, as composed to a natural keyboard or piano player. I can testify to this, because I've made a song that sounded just like this. Anyways, keep working on it!

ArisingFlame responds:

Thank you. I am just plunking it out on the computer for a concept before the actual piece.

I can tell this was done using samples, but it still sounds great, none the less. Great job man! Keep it up!

Klace responds:

Thank you!
Yes, it was using samples, but they are good ones nonetheless!
