I gotta say, this pretty neat. I like how creative it is. The Koto is definitely my favorite part. Only thing is, the song feels really light, despite how incredibly well put together it is for what I usually hear in user-created dubstep songs. If only it were heavier, and maybe if you toned down the high-pitched glitching a little bit. Anyhow, it sounds really good, and I hope you keep it up! You've got potential!

I shall dedicate my next song to your request for heaviness!

It sounds like it should sound good. You mixed it really well, and the beat is pretty catchy. Though, as you said, it sounds pretty generic, and I'm not a huge fan of that generic sound. The lead is either a little too loud or you could use a better synth for it. I think you pounded this one out nicely, but seriously, deviate from the norm a little. You'd be doing yourself a big favor. Good luck!

I usually do, but it's my own way of showing how easy it is to make this kind of stuff without putting much effort into it at all, i literally spent 30 minutes on this.
Kind of sad, isn't it?

I have to say, I actually liked the experimentation a bit. It's not a full-fledged song, and I sort of wish it were. Much more could be done to this. Anyways, keep up the good work.

Too flat and uninteresting, but it was still put together decently. Sounds pretty muddy. You might want to use equalizers on your instruments to get the most out of them and the part of the frequency range they're supposed to be playing in. That, or you're just missing instruments in the high-end range.

Oh wow a review? Holy Christ, it's a miracle. As an added bonus, it comes with advice and constructive critisism, too! Thanks for that :D

And you got it right on the second try. I'm using crappy free soundfonts because I can't afford anything else. It's nice to hear that it was decently put together though.

I love it. The atmosphere in this is very well done. My only gripe is that the bass is kind of low, but that could be my speakers. I subtract half a star because the piece just doesn't have a complete feeling to it. Could've done much more with it, I believe. Still, excellent job! And welcome back!

Always good to get some thoughts on the new piece. Sorry about the bass but when I played this piece in the car originally, the bass was too high so I took it down a notch. The fault lies in my abilities to master my music, it's something I am very much working on. Hopefully the problem can be corrected in the near future. Glad you enjoyed the piece and thanks for your time bro.

Really interesting piece you have here! I was definitely getting down to it, but there were subtle things which had me thoroughly enjoying this more than I thought I would. So you get a big five from me. Very well done. You should probably remaster the track and bring the sounds forward a little more so that it doesn't sound so sombre. You've got the idea and it sounds really good, but now it just needs some extra weight added to its presentation. Good listen, overall. Thanks.

aaah thanks dude, and i'll take your advise on, and master it. Thanks again for your review, its greatly appreciated advise, i don't get that alot with my music.

Empty and unimpressive. The drums are mixed too far in the back, in my opinion. The tune could've been really interesting, actually, but as a funk song (or "rapefunk") it doesn't do its job. Has nothing to really do with RnB to my ears, as well. Try again and come back with something greater than this. Good luck!

Great story! It actually was cinematic, but on a Cartoon Network movie level. Ha ha. I think this should be created into a flash to get the best out of it, but this is still good. The music itself was fun, sometimes a little repetitive, but there was still so much more variation than your past attempts. Really, this is a major improvement over the last song I reviewed. I really like this a lot! You obviously worked on melodies, and even the drums were great. I can't complain too much about the song this time, except that it still isn't memorable. So, keep working at it, because you're getting better! Excellent job!

Hey, not bad! This piece is actually a lot better than I had anticipated in the beginning. It sounded alright in the start, but got a lot better later on. After the 1:00 mark, it spoke to me the most, with the nice melody and subtlety. Then the drums came in (which were cleverly made.) I really like what you have here. The only thing that you could change is that the song didn't get intense and effective enough as it moved on. Then, in the end of the song, the tone modulation or pitch shifting was grating to the sound you were dishing out overall. This could be so much better, but it's already a great little 'CASIO' 80's piece. Good job, man! Keep up the great work!

Thanks man! I really appreciate your reviews :D

Don't let my mid-low rating scare you, man. It sounds great, it really does... but for a song this long, there wasn't much significant change. The drums were obviously the most important message delivered here, but that's pretty much the only thing I heard. It's just background music, and I wish it weren't. You could make this piece sound very ominous, but for now it just drags on longer than it needs to.

If you want it to be just drums, then I'd stick with a shorter time frame. But, if you're intending on putting in some other melodic instruments, then increase the time of the piece. Know what I mean? =]

You didn't do a bad job, but it's time for some improvement. You may be on the way to becoming the next Frank Klepacki! It's a great beat, really! So, take care, and happy listening! =D
